CMF’s First Headphones Last 100 Hours and Cost $100

The sub-brand of Nothing, CMF, has made its debut in the over-ear headphone segment with the introduction of the CMF Headphone Pro. In contrast to the transparent and avant-garde aesthetics of Nothing’s audio offerings, CMF has chosen a more traditional, rounded design while still emphasizing its commitment to personalization.

The Headphone Pro is offered in Light Green, Light Gray, and Dark Gray. CMF allows users to swap out the ear cushions for various colors, including the brand’s signature Orange, thus preserving its customization theme within its product lineup. Additional ear cushions will be available for separate purchase at €25 in Europe, £20 in the UK, and $25 in the United States.

Battery longevity is a standout characteristic. With active noise cancellation turned off, the Headphone Pro can endure up to 100 hours on a single charge. When ANC is activated, the playback time decreases to approximately 50 hours. The headphones feature hybrid adaptive noise cancellation, which automatically adjusts the noise-canceling strength based on the surrounding environment. There is also a transparency mode for moments when outside awareness is necessary.

The Headphone Pro boasts Static Spatial Audio, providing Cinema and Concert modes that enhance the depth and clarity of sound to mimic real-world settings. Instead of touch sensors, the headphones utilize hardware controls, with a roller for adjusting volume and playback, while an Energy Slider enables swift modifications to bass or treble via the Nothing X app. A customizable button grants access to features such as toggling spatial audio, recording voice memos, or activating ChatGPT.

Internally, the headphones are fitted with 40mm drivers and 16.5mm copper voice coils. They support the LDAC codec, hold Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, and include a Personal Sound Profile function created in collaboration with Audiodo. This system fine-tunes audio based on individual hearing preferences and is compatible across devices, including PCs.
