Sony’s WF-1000XM6 earbuds have been revealed by a retailer before their long-awaited release. They are expected to cost $329.99 in the US and €299.99 in Europe, and they look quite different from the earlier WF-1000X earbuds. Sony might also have more plans for the WH-1000XM6 headphones, which are currently priced at $398 on Amazon.
Roland Quandt has shared information about Sony’s new high-end over-ear wireless headphones. Sony released the WH-1000XM6 in May 2025 and offered them in three colors similar to the WH-1000XM5. According to Quandt’s recent post, Sony is getting ready to bring back the last color option of the WH-1000XM5 for the new WH-1000XM6.
Quandt claims that Sony has also created the WH-1000XM6 in a new color called Sandpink. We haven’t seen pictures of this new version yet, but we think it will look similar to the Smoky Pink version of the older model shown above. Quandt hasn’t shared any release details, but this leak suggests that the new WH-1000XM6 could be launched around the same time as the WF-1000XM6, which is rumored to come out globally later this month.
