Beats seems to be undertaking a comprehensive refresh of its fitness-oriented line of wireless earbuds, with a potential successor to the Beats Fit Pro on the horizon.
The Powerbeats Fit have been hinted at in a recent YouTube advertisement, and although it represents a slight change in name from the previous model (likely to align with the Powerbeats sub-brand), the new earbuds retain the design of the older Beats Fit Pro, featuring a true wireless configuration with an in-ear stability hook.
The overall design appears unchanged, and while specific details remain unconfirmed, we anticipate that functionalities such as Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode will also be included.
The current Beats Fit Pro seamlessly integrates with the iOS ecosystem, eliminating the need for a separate application, a feature we expect to see carried over with the introduction of the Powerbeats Fit. After all, they are essentially earbuds made by Apple.
It remains uncertain whether they will provide the same high-end features as the recently announced Powerbeats Pro 2, which include heart rate monitoring and the integration of Apple’s H2 audio chip. We would certainly appreciate a slight enhancement in the battery life of the earbuds: while the total of 27 hours is decent, could Beats potentially increase the individual bud’s lifespan from the existing six hours?
Promoted as being “fit for every move,” Apple has indicated that the new earbuds will debut in “fall 2025,” but we lack further specifics at this time. However, as we approach the end of August, their release could be imminent as summer comes to a close.
The pricing for the upcoming Powerbeats Fit is also still unknown, though the previous Fit Pro’s price point (£200 / $200 / AU$299) should provide a reasonable estimate for where the new earbuds might be priced. For comparison, the Powerbeats Pro 2 was released at £250 / $250, although they are already available at notable discounts.
