Saifullah Mir explained to viewers the correct way to use mobile hands-free devices, earbuds, and headphones. He mentioned that there are approximately 15,000 extremely delicate and sensitive cells in the ear that can be harmed by excessively loud sounds.
Most loud noises are experienced through hands-free devices, and there is a significant risk that our hearing could be compromised from prolonged exposure to this.
He noted that sound intensity is measured in ‘decibels,’ which indicates how loud sounds can be perceived by our ears. Generally, the volume of headphones should be set to 60 to 70 percent to avoid damaging the eardrums.
Additionally, the duration of hands-free usage is crucial, as keeping headphones or AirPods in the ears constantly can be very detrimental.
Dr. Saifullah Mir emphasized the importance of using these devices in moderation to prevent them from becoming a source of discomfort and problems for you.
