The JBL Tune Buds feature a conventional wireless earbud design encased in plastic, available in Blue, White, Black, and Purple shades. With an IP54 rating, these earbuds can endure minor exposure to water and dust. JBL Tune Buds Review
Regrettably, I found it challenging to achieve a proper fit with the JBL Tune Buds — and it seems I’m not the only one. User reviews on Amazon frequently cite fit issues as the primary drawback of the JBL Tune Buds. If the earbuds do not fit well in your ears, they will frequently slip out of your ear canal, significantly detracting from the overall experience.
A man inserts the JBL Tune Buds earbud into his ear You may need to frequently readjust the earbuds back into your ear canal. I could only achieve a snug fit by pushing the earbuds as deeply as possible into my ear canals (which is not advisable for ear health).
I experimented with all three provided ear tips, but none created a secure seal that would remain in my ears. Merely walking around causes the earbuds to gradually slip out of my ear canal, breaking the seal. Without a tight fit, you won’t experience good isolation or sound quality.
How do you operate the JBL Tune Buds?
The tap controls located on the exterior of each earbud manage listening modes, music playback, call answering, and more. However, I opted to disable the tap controls to avoid accidentally triggering an action whenever I adjust the fit of the earbuds in my ears. Below are the default controls, but you have the option to fully customize what each tap combination controls through the JBL Headphones app.
